Jontron was one of the progenitors for nonsensical humor based video game reviewing on Youtube. The first three "seasons" I would consider his golden age content; his talent for baffling non sequiturs and hysterical cutaway gags are often unmatched even to this day, not to mention the personal background he has with a lot of the content he went over.
While there there is some merit to his modern day content, it simply does not match what he used to bring to the table. Riffing on celebrity scams and other poor marketing ploys does have a charm on its own (and for the record I have enjoyed the ones I've watched), but it's missing what made Jontron stand out from the crowd; this is a sort of content I could see any popular youtuber do and it wouldn't really change much.
