Stay Essential!

There's something for everyone.

I was introduced to Starset long before I got heavily into them in late June of 2022. My first song was "It Has Begun" and it was showcased in a well-made animation in MikuMikuDance by ureshiiiiii on YouTube. The song would never fade from my memory. I eventually took a listen to "My Demons" and "Point of no Return" after being introduced through similar means. "Unbecoming" was soon after thanks to searching on my own. However, I never truly looked into them at the time.

Come 2022 and something sparked in me to look up the songs again. Eventually, I looked at their music videos. Next thing I know, I was binging videos of interviews, buying all of their albums, creating various art pieces, and helping expand upon the tropes presented on their page on this very site.

I grew up on hard rock/metal with my most noteworthy interest during that time being Linkin Park. 2021 and early 2022 would see me delving into the original works of Will Ryan, the main face of DAGames, and the world he created behind that music known as IRIS. My musical taste also delved into electronic and melodic dubstep (alongside the fact that I have interest in Vocaloid). Outside of music, I also grew up into science; my highlighted studies being astronomy and anatomy.

Discovering Starset and properly delving into their work, embracing both their willingness to think outside the box both in story and in music, was something I felt was one of the best decisions of my life. The fact that the music is also a means of promoting critical thinking, especially in the world we live in now, is also a big benefit.

If you're into science fiction, science in general, rock music, epic orchestral music, electronic music, a compelling story, and/or ARGs, Starset is all of that in one big package, breaking the mold to create something unique in the rock scene. Even if the overall might not strike your fancy, there is bound to be at least one thing that will garner your interest. I give all props to Dustin Bates for creating something really spectacular.

I highly suggest going to one of their demonstrations (assuming you aren't epileptic as they have a lot of flashing lights and patterns during their full blown ones). Their acoustic events both as standalone tours and regular VIP events are just as worth it.
