A Classic for the ages

What’s to be said that already hasn’t been said about Calvin And Hobbes? It’s charming, witty, imaginative, the artwork is gorgeous, you’ve heard it all. And believe me, I could go on and on praising every single aspect, but we’d be here for hours. So all I’ll say is this. This is, as the title states, a classic for the ages. I read these every day as a kid, the books aged, the spines bent and worn, and they kept me laughing as a child, but now? I’m noticing more and things, jokes I never understood, references that sailed high over my head, and what was once to me a funny comic about a boy and his tiger, became a thoughtful series about childhood. Not just the good, not just the bad, but childhood itself. Sure, some thing’s didn’t age well, but for a story that’s about 36 years old, I say it still feels pretty timeless.

Woops, sorry, I accidentally made two, just ignore this one.

“I’m going to take a bath,” Abraham Lincoln….Probably.
