Its not great.

Okay, so I've seen the very negative responses first but I wanted to give it a fair shake. And it's not great.

The writing has that issue where it's trying to be normie funny. The show has a lot of referential jokes, a lot of snark, but there needs to be a balance to this sardonicism. Because if you're sprouting out self-aware comments, then it isn't clever. you can make fun of a demographic as long as you're clever.

The animation needs a lot more work, while the art style is okay, it's very choppy and slow. You can have a bland art style as long as the animation is good, but this art style is average and the animation is painstakingly-choppy.

Its also just weirdly gross sometimes, I know it's a staple of adult cartoons, but again, there needs to be a balance, it needs to be clever. Having birth control pills and a bong as your weapon is not clever.

The only thing that I actually think is decent is the voice-acting. Daisy and Nut have great voices, it fits them well. Alex needs a bit of work, though, I think its mostly due to direction or lack of experience.

I feel like this treads into the 'the so bad its good' territory. But I watch this, and I'm thinking; There was a lot of lost potential. Like, if they just switch their priorities and have better writing, it could work. A Western Adult Magical Girl Deconstruction Show? That sounds interesting.
