This story is absolutely one of the best fanfics in the fandom. The way this author writes feels like a professional, and the story feels as if it could legitimately be passed for ASOIAF if Jaime were the protagonist. The great thing is, even though Jaime is at the heart of the story, the focus is shared between many characters with each one playing a large role in pushing the story forward. This fic will make you appreciate secondary characters that are never given the spotlight in canon. As the story progresses, you will occasionally come across certain plot points that have been foreshadowed many chapters ago, but the author does it in such a subtle way that the story remains unpredictable and exciting.
