The story has done a very good job of taking the core story and adapting it to having Yui around as an actual character. Many characters are still more or less the same, while others have changed in ways both minor and major. I've gotten in touch with the author, and updates are not likely anytime in the foreseeable future...which is a shame, as the last chapter essentially leaves the fic ending on several massive Cliff Hangers, and the ramifications of "Gendo-sama" aren't really addressed, outside of what happens at the end of the fight with Sachiel.
