Candy Boy is a Slice-of-Life/Yuri anime that is about the lives of Kanade and Yukino Sakurai, two fraternal twin sisters. The anime basically deals with their normal ,everyday lives in school and outside of school. I first watched this anime during Christmas break when I was back from college. I decided to check it out and see if I would like it or not.
I did really like this anime. While it's not the most original anime, I did find it to be a cute, lighthearted series that I enjoyed. I really liked the relationship between Kanade and Yukino. When watching the anime, you can definitely see that they care about one another. I also liked the romantic undertones in their relationship. I found it be quite interesting.
There are other characters besides the two I mentioned like Sakuya, the girl with a huge crush on Kanade and Shizuku, Kanade and Yukino's younger sister. I personally found Sakuya to be decent enough comic relief, although her comedic obsession with Kanade can get a little old after a while. Shizuku was a decent enough character, but I personally found her to be not as interesting as the other characters.
The art is pretty good. It looks really nice for something from 2008. I personally liked it quite a bit.
Overall, I liked Candy Boy. It's a nice, cute anime that I can say I really enjoyed. If you're looking for a nice slice-of-life anime with slight yuri undetones, then check this one out.
