Nice concept, and clearly passionate and ambitious...but...

Having played through the game, its clear that there was love and passion for making it, unlike Snakewood. The concept of a mysterious malevolent evil as a pokemon was an interesting idea, and was done competently by being unseen and working through its minions. It provides a different adventure, and for its faults, does feel like a pokemon game. I can see why there are spinoffs and sequels from this game, given fan reaction. But its clear that it was Dark Rising Girl's first hack; it has major problems: Enormous level curve, some scripting errors (an ice type gym leader's dad...), boss placements (A "goofy" Florina encounter immediately after a "serious moment" that involved *killing* a guy), some maps edits (though some will call me a hypocrite, but just look at Cerulean cav-I mean Mystic Cave), and some plot issues. Your "allies" are a bigger threat to you, but a major villain, V, is mishandled completely. Most gym leaders feel pointless. As dirty cheaters as the "Elite four" were, they are villlains and it was amusing. But the final boss takes it way too far; he's Villain Sue tier and uses Elite Four Ace Pokemon. Minor gripes like some text and grammer, which I can forgive, and some sprite issues, which aren't perfect, and some silly moments that make this game "So Bad, its Good," certainly more than Snakewood. At least Dark Rising was sincere, if extremely flawed.
