While featuring plenty of action, the story focuses more on the emotional part of things. How do you handle having someone living in your head, hearing your every thought, feeling your every sensation, and capable of controlling parts of your body? On the flipside, how do you handle not having a body or any interaction with the outside world except through someone else? In addition to fighting the forces of darkness and saving the world?
While both are initially severely freaked out by the circumstances, both Xander and Faith grow to accept it. Eventually, they even decide it was probably the best thing to ever happen to either of them. It's particularly notable in Faith who learns to trust the Scoobies since not only does she have someone who simply can't lie to her, she knows as much about them as Xander does. But it's not all sunshine and roses as they discover when Xander learns that his Soldier and Hyena possessions came along for the ride and now they're inside Faith's head too. Furthermore, there's something dark lurking within Faith and Buffy.
Then there's the comedy from the duo's Vitriolic Best Buds status and the fact neither seems capable of taking their mind of sex for long. All in all, a great read. The only downside in my opinion, is that the entire story is on a single page so it can seem far longer than it actually is.
