That\'s one of the curses of following the leader. He may not have started it but Nostalgia Critic did in fact popularize that format. If you want to be really technical, then Roger Ebert started the whole trend by creating the review show.

My absolute favorite one was the hero of colour city review, Where he show his pictures of his drawing and demonstrate of why he\'s reviewing the movie.

A Pleasant Surprise
It is unfortunately easy to lump a lot of internet comedians-critics into the "Nostalgia Critic knockoff" pool of thought. Heck, I discovered Bobsheaux in his Tentacolino review, very much a spiritual sequel to Critic's OTHER Animated Titanic. But the more Bobsheaux I watch, the more it's apparent he's a hilariously entertaining guy who really came into his own.
There's a lot to love about Bob Thomas. His humor ranges from dry to violent, he critiques all kinds of material, from blockbusters to direct to DVD talking dog movies to... Um... The Texas Chainsaw Samurai. Seriously, it's cool to have someone so varried. Guy even puppeteers pretty well, considering his Alpha and Omega: Family Vacation review!
Even when getting analytical Bob has the charisma of a good buddy on the couch you swap stories with. He can be insightful, he can be crude, but he's almost always entertaining.
Perhaps most refreshing about Bobsheaux is the idealism and hope his reviews contain. Bob genuinely doesn't want to dislike any movie he reviews, and wants to believe they all have even just a kernal of a good idea to them... Except Elf Bowling: The Movie of course. I find he's always got insightful things to say. Across a lot of flicks he looks at, I shake my head and figure "No, there's no way this could work." But Bob always wants to propose another side, a better side.
So to anyone seeks a new comedian with a critical edge, let me reccomend Bobsheaux. Like me, I'm sure you'll be plesantly surprised.
