One Of My Favorites

I'm a sucker for all things that deal with interesting concepts like the afterlife, so expect a bit of personal bias. I adore this book; I've read it at least a dozen times. The relationship between Meg and Lowrie is very sweet, and their quest is fun and engaging. Every side character can grab your attention - from despicable characters like Franco to the kindhearted Murph. (Whatever happened to him, anyways?) The stakes just keep getting higher as the book goes on, finally reaching a tense climax and a sad but heartwarming finish. The book is also intercut with hilarious scenes from the crew down in the Underworld - Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Myishi, as well as Saint Peter keeping an eye on things. For the most part.

The Wish List is underrated, and I recommend it to any fan of Eoin Colfer!
