The fact that Lily has also come back to the past is a very effective twist on the general formula. This fic is so well executed that it would have been original regardless, but I must say that I loved this detail of the premise. Actually, I quickly came to realize that I much prefer the Severus/Lily dynamic this way, and I sincerely wish that every fic in which Severus gets a second chance would do this (and be this well written!). Having Lily also coming back from the future lessens (although of course does not eliminate) the age and experience gap between her and Severus. Although Lily begins the fic mistrusting Severus, the two are eventually able to have a deeper and more sincere connection. Having both characters coming back to the past from the time of their deaths also allows both characters to be fully aware of their entire arcs; there is nothing the readers know of their lives that the characters don't know. I highly recommend this fic. As a whole it is well-written, psychologically astute, and memorable.
