I have to admit that I 100% don't get this review at all. And I've never played the game so I don't want you to think I'm going all 'offended fanboy rage' on you.
It's just that you said it was the worst game of 2012, then you made a bunch of comments akin to 'This aspect of the game isn't bad, I mean it's not great but it's still pretty good', and then you just reiterated that it was the worst game of 2012.
What was the worst thing about the game, in your opinion?

Elmo3000 I never said that. What I'm trying to say is that this game had great concepts, but shoddy execution. I find it the worst game of 2012 because it could have been so much but gave us so little.
I would say the worst thing about the game is the glitches. The glitches ruin practically everything positive in this game. If the game wan't so glitchy, I could see myself enjoying at least the combat parts of the games and maybe the multiplayer. But sadly, even if that were true, I'm a story kind of guy. Story does everything for me. And this game has one of the worst stories I have ever had the misfortune of being subjected to.
And I'm one of those pissy people saying that because "THE ENDING WAS BAD AND SHEPARD DIED". The story is bad because it was anti-climactic, none of your choices in the previous two game mattered, and even the events in the game that were meaningful are ruined by terrible animation and glitches.
Thane's death? Hope you enjoy his eyes still moving even after he dies. Mordin's death? Hope you enjoy Eve going into the basic T post afterwards. Ending of the first level? Hope you enjoy Anderson teleporting everywhere.

I get the, it had a lot of potential so it strikes another level of anger/disappointment, but calling something the worst because of that is too much of a stretch. Remember 2012 had Amy, War Z, Resident Evil 6 and Operation Racoon City, the kinect games...

Worst Game of 2012
Apart from this preface, this review will not be talking about the endings whatsoever. I know how much people hate the endings, I do too. But the fact of the matter is, even with the greatest endings in video game history, this game would still be the worst Mass Effect game in the series and an abhorrent mess. I will summarize each detail in fairly short order and why I think this game sucks harder than Paris Hilton.
Controls: Controls for the game have improved, along with the gameplay but suffer downsides. On one hand, the inclusion of jumping, vaulting and rolling is a good thing. On the other hand, removing the crouch and holster weapons and binding 4 commands to the A/X button kind of irked me.
Characters: Positives: Shepard, Garrus, Tali, Kaiden, James' shirtless scenes. Everyone else, not so much. But that's opinion based only :)
Graphics: The graphics are, to put it bluntly, on par with Mass Effect 1, with the exception of a few things. While the Reapers and the Citadel's looks deserve praise, this game also includes some of the worst animations I've ever witnessed. Whether it be Aria's teleporting in the Omega DLC or Ashley's facial expression resetting every 5 seconds, the only time I saw animation this horrible was on another Bioware title, Dragon Age II.
Story: I'd need 4000 words to talk about the story's problems, let alone the romances, one of the most disappointing aspects of the game. Suffice it to say, your choices do not matter and they never will. Next.
Gameplay: This game has a mixture between the best gameplay of Mass Effect 3 and the worst. While the system of powers, faster moving, more intense action is fantastic, it is spoiled by the game's numerous glitches, most of them game-breaking. In short, the gameplay in Mass Effect 3 is fantastic, but mired by bugs and game-breaking glitches.
Multiplayer: Congratulations on implementing Multiplayer. But thanks for basing it on this incredibly glitchy idiocy then fixing all of its bugs, only to completely ignore the same bugs within Singleplayer
Mass Effect 3 absolutely ascends the Worst Games of 2012 list. The worst game in the series, the worst RPG I've ever encountered and the most disappointing sequel since Metal Gear Solid 3. Do not play this game under threat of water-boarding. That is all. Though I REALLY wish there was no word cap.
