Quite enjoyable and also quite creepy

This film is not released on DVD in the UK, but I was lucky to find it on dailymotion.com.

With Red State, Kevin Smith could prove he could do more than just comedy. That movie was a thriller whereas this movie is a horror.

Michael Parks is cast again as the villain, who is very charming but very creepy. Haley Joel Osment (who we haven't seen in a while and has put on some weight) is also good as Wallace's best mate.

However, Johnny Depp's detective is the only thing I didn't like about this film. "Oh look, Johnny Depp is playing a weirdo........again!"

By the way, Kevin Smith's daughter and Johnny Depp#s daughter have cameos in the film and they're actually friends in real life.

Yeah, forget Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, it is now Johnny Depp and Kevin Smith.

This film really is creepy when it gets to the end of the second act, especially when we see Wallace turned into a walrus. It is just so freaky, even for a Kevin Smith movie.

It is really like The Human Centipede, only not as disgusting. Nobody eats crap this time.

A good first installment to the "Canada" trilogy and I'm looking to see the next film "Yoga Hosers" where Kevin plays several monsters. That I'd like to see.

I've heard of this movie. Not my kind of film... I'm not into gore, but the idea is just so bizarre that I can't help but have a minor appreciation for it.
