Ahh Childhood Memories

I remember watching this all the time as a kid and is hands down one of the best video game review shows ever made. The show starred Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb, two very awesome gamers and both new what made a game good or bad and made very great and valid points. I actually saw the gamer chick article and it said people saw Morgan Webb as eye candy. Even as a kid, I never saw her as that and thought she was Adam Sessler's equal in terms of gaming and humor. Humor is another thing I'd like to discuss. In addition to game reviews they added a ton of humor to help keep the show interesting and fun. I would always get excited to watch this show on G4. I did end up stop watching the show, but the choice was not mine to make. My television service at the time took G4 off my lineup and I could not watch it anymore. Several years later it was canceled, which was a real disappointment to me.

One positive though is that the humor of their game reviews live on in game reviewers such as ProJared, Angry Joe and especially Angry Video Game Nerd. The humor they add still gives fun to game reviews and keep my interest.

I rewatched the Aquaman: Battle For Atlantis on YouTube and that is what reignited my love for this series. I know it's very likely impossible, but I would seriously love to see X-Play put on DVD.

Never ralized that Adam & Morgan were so influential on the AVN (I say this as an AVGN fan myself).

Did you ever watch the show when it was on Tech TV? Unfortunately, it was only on for over a year (2003 to 2004; 172 episodes), but that was when the show rocked. I was in High School during that point of the shows' history, and I made sure never to miss an episode. Not even when it was a rerun.

I never actually said they influenced AVGN I'm just saying the humor lives on in web reviewers like him. And yes I did watch this when G4 was Tech TV. I even remember when X-Play was Extended Play.
