This series has done nothing but good things for me as a fanfic reader. I love it so much, that I haven't really been reading anything else on fanfiction because it's too awesome! lol
I love Dusk, and the fact that he ends up with my favorite MLP character, Twilight, and is such a good fit for her is what attracted me to this in the first place. Once I started, I couldn't stop. I started on book 4 and then when I read to the point that Alpha had gotten (which was the 22nd chapter out of the 41 in the book), I went back and read the first 3. It is now on the 6th book, with 16 chapters so far, and it just keeps being the best fanfic I've ever read.
I love Dusk, I can relate to him greatly. His lack of self esteem reminds me of myself at times, and how I still can be. But Twilight, as well as the rest of the Mane 6 have helped him become the stallion he is today. And he has helped them out in return.
This is the best adaptation of MLP Fi M that I have ever read. It's the fanfic that inspired me to write fanfiction about my own OC.
Not only has this fanfic impacted my own fanfics, and how I view MLP, but in some ways it's affected my life a little as well. It was what I needed, to pass the time during a rough time I was having.
