I think I've finally found a review that can be summarized by this entry's page picture, right down to the three short, unhelpful sentences. I enjoyed it myself, and so did a lot of other people who'd disagree. You say it contradicts everything, but how? I've been a fan of this franchise since DS 1 and I've found the story acceptable and engaging. The actionization is something I'd concede to you, but it's something that's been happening since DS 1, as you literally kill every monster in your way. It's different from the other games in the series, but that doesn't mean it's without value. Wow, I've spent more time responding to this than you have in your whole review.
Jake, it might help if you elaborated on your reasons for disliking the game.

Worthless
This game is an absolute waste of time, money and space. The story contradicts the entire franchise and turns a great horror game into an action series. Save your money and time and play a better game like the first one.. or bioshock...or system shock 2.
