Suprisingly Touching

The art is either stylized or hyper realistic to the point where i can see why people don't like it, and minor internet memes exist to mock it.

Some of the jokes don't always work.

The main characters are incredibly flawed.

But at the end of the day This mostly gag a day slice of life webcomics, and one of the best out there. its an incredibly strong story about the relationship of two people-an incredibly stressed and mysogynistic Genoloclogist and her spacey Pornstar Roommate.

And in a genre with strips full of crazy animals and ninjas the above is played more or less realistically. There a pair of hypersexual lesbian who thousands of conquests each. Okay maybe thats a tad unrealistic)- but there journey isn't.

The story follows them, yrd as they fuck constantly-but they also go through college, Get tattoos Have children together and buy a house-all the while never ever saying they love each other. There for lack of a better word rommance is the heart of the story-and its suprisingly touching.

Its a love that dare not speak its name, not becuse they can't but they don't-yet whether they actually do or not that doesn't stop there relationship, there fights there squables, there mutt and jeff antics- or the fact that they do care and support for each other. Its this relationship that forms the heart of the story, and in a lot of ways i think its one of the strongest ever done in a comicbook media.

Its not for everyone, and a lot of people could be turned off it for subject tone, and art-but well if you find it through its a good little strip. Its not something you can relate to necssairly-but there is something very human at its core which is worth checking out.
