I agree with your compliments towards the series. I also note that considering that the story is 25 chapters in and doesn't seem to be showing any real noticeable signs of dying under it's own weight. If anything, it's weight is merely causing quality to go up.

Agree with this for the most part. However, the inclusion of some less-than-subtle social-commentary in this latest arc (as of now it is at chapter 51) may alienate those fans who do not share the authors sentiments.

Amusing, but Ambitious
This fic is fascinating in many ways, not least of which is its wacky sense of humor. It features an at-times-very-indecorous Celestia and Luna. (Luna's desire for alicorn stallions is just the beginning), a surprisingly low OC cast, and some interesting takes on canon events—the Wonderbolt's curious ineptitude, all the stallion guards,and Rainbow's level of skill. The explanation of Pinkie's abilities is especially compelling.
At the same time, this reviewer is concerned about the sheer scope of the story. At sixteen chapters, the story is literally JUST getting started, with the Mane 6 JUST embarking on their grand quest. The premise was set up in the first two chapters, and it's taken over thirteen chapters to finally get it started. It's hard to think of any of the space as wasted—this is a wide-sweeping fic with approximately six separate plots—but at the same time it's worrying. Only time will tell how well this fic can bear up under the weight of its own ambition.
