Just for fun: If Franko was born in America and decided to run for president, what type of platform do you think he would have? Would you vote for that? I see him as a pro-trade, pro-small businesses, pro second amendment (the militia was bad but might have been the only thing that stopped a complete holocaust), pro-UN (it kind of sucked, but not having UN at all would have sucked a lot more), pro-humanitarian intervention, pro-international law, pro-choice (he has seen situations he does not want to see children in), pro capital punishment (he's seen people that needs killing), pro family values (one of his lines is "I must get back to my folks" implying that he is doing his risky business to help support relatives), let's-ban-hate-speech republican. I also imagine that he scoffs at cheap "tough-on-crime-let's-have-high-punishment-automatically-for-certain-crimes-regardless-of-circumstances" rhetoric, arguing that such things are easy to say when you and your family are warm and well-fed. Not exactly my ideal candidate but I could vote for that (if I was American) depending on what the realistic alternative was.
