Peso is way too major to possibly be an example. Shellington is at least second-tier, so if his popularity eclipsed Barnacles, Kwazii, or Peso then he could likely count, but I don't think it does.
Shellington's sister Pearl and nephew Periwinkle is similarly well-beloved, especially with the release of Octonauts: Above & Beyond, in which they have much larger roles.
