Well, the video I can see (is it this one
?) is just a fan-made video with editing done to make it sync up with G-Gundam's audio, including mixing in bits and pieces of more than one episode.
Since TTGL doesn't end exactly that way, I wouldn't link the fan video as definite proof, maybe as a footnote for how similar the series are (intentionally, imo). Feel free to add a "Shout-Out: This series is similar to G-Gundam" or something on the trivia subpage, but chances are someone's already mentioned the similarities.

Could Simon be considered part of the Rescued from the Scrappy Heap trope? Quite a few people (myself included) disliked him early on, but then Character Development kicks in and he suddenly becomes quite the Badass. Just saying.

Can the video linked to in WMG about the ending being nigh identical to G gundam's (It's seriously just TTGL's ending fight with G gundam's audio playing) be added to a shout out entry in the main page, or at least in YMMV?
