Does this series have a message? It seemed to me that this series is a soft parody of the inner world of otaku and shy people in general. Especially in moments when Tomoko first calls other people a gray mass, and then dreams of popularity.
I honestly don't know if the "Some Anvils Need To Be Dropped" is actually the message of the series or if the writer was ranting about the series' fanbase being attracted to Tomoko. It's hard to tell with the syntax
