Broken Base: The 2007 VS 2018 HGUC Gundam Ground Type kit. Is the remake even necessary since the 2007 release is already excellent, or the 2018 release is better since it features better color separation (notably the knees) and proportions?

I don't think that this really applies? No one really dislikes the new version, no one considers it inferior, and the worst that the entry can state is that it's a bit unnecessary, even though it's better.

Now, what really might apply is the HG Ez-8 vs. the HGUC Ez-8. People are still going in circles over which is better, what with the HG version having plastic buckles for its parachute pack and an opening cockpit, while the HGUC is better in pretty much every other way.
