Is it really a happy ending for Thomas ? He abandons everything and everyone he loves and didn t want to leave in season 6 to be a lowlier servant ( a man s valet instead of the butler of a grand house ) and a sex toy for an aging actor . He will even miss Baxter s wedding to travel to the US with his new master .
