Invalid comparison on a particular Hilarious in Hindsight entry.
"This fic: first chapter released in August 2014. Damon hacks Murakumo by stabbing her in the head. February 2016: XCOM 2 released, where you can Skulljack... aka hack someone by stabbing them in the head. "
Unfortunately, this is a rather invalid comparison. Skulljacking/skullmining ADVENT personnel is simply a more fucked up way of killing them, with the siphoning of additional intel from their network being an added bonus, than simply shooting/blowing/hacking them up with regular attacks.
Damon's use of the hacking blade, by comparison, essentially hacks the girls and forces them to obey him.
Edited by HashiriyaR32 Hide / Show RepliesI disagree, because narratively Tygan developed it first with the purpose of breaking into the ADVENT network by hacking into the ADVENT officers, and killing them is a game mechanic and nice side benefit. Your counterargument would be valid if it was plotwise a weapon first and the hacking came secondary. Story trumps gameplay.
Edited by GentlemensDame883I see you have been by the page recently. I would like to ask again if you want to make a reply to my counterargument. If you do not within one week, I will take it as your concession and revert the change.
Critical Research Failure should probably be split into a separate page, since it makes up about half the length of the page.
