The Time Skip appears to be about ten years, which makes sense under the consideration that Daniel Senior was school-aged before Prince Tuesday's birth.

Just curious - how exactly did you come up with this number? Not that I'm doubting it, but I don't really follow.

Daniel never aged on MRN; Prince Tuesday was aged up to match him, so Daniel is at least six years older.
Um, about the Granpere Tiger topic, could it be possible that Granpere adopted Daniel Sr. as his (grand)son? It could be officially adopted with documents or just a title Daniel Sr. calls Grandpere. People can refer to others as family even if they're not related.
I haven't watched the episodes involving Grandpere in this series or Mister Rogers so I'm not sure how to approach this.
