I think the description and entries listed on this page are a little too shoehorned from Nostalgia Critic's review of the movie.

Yeah, they're not exactly what you'd call 'unbiased' or 'impartial'.

Has it ever been confirmed that this movie was originally not supposed to be a Tom & Jerry movie? I mean, it shows all the hallmarks of an adapted movie, most obviously that you could take Tom & Jerry right out of this movie and it would still work. So I always assumed that this was likely pitched as an animated movie about a girl trying to escape from her evil aunt, and somebody decided to make it a Tom & Jerry movie for the name recognition.
