Is the show cut differently depending on a region or something?

Looking at the Funny page for "The Kill Box", there are three scenes listed, that I didn't see in the episode itself (all during the party scene at the end, and I rewatched it a few times to make sure).

What's going on there, have I watched a different version, than everyone else?

Edit: Never mind, someone put the scenes from "The Belly of the Beast" in the previous episode's folder. I will look into editing and putting it where it should be.

Anyone dislike the organization of this page? I feel like all the sub-headings just clutter the page. Like, do we need the sub-headings of "Government," "Military," and "Civilians" for Emon when there are one character each per those sub-headings?

i vote to directly split the characters page in multiple anyway. There are many characters, we are almost to the point where is going to be written with red "this page is too large", this happened only last year with the teen titans cartoon characters page.

We are not near that. That message appears when a page is about 400,000 characters long, the current page is only 228,000 characters long. I think splitting this into multiple pages would be really premature.

Given that as of this writing Season 2 has premiered, would it be prudent to take the characters out of season 1 spoilers and put them in their proper places? We can just write an "unmarked spoilers" warning that other long running series has in their character sheets.

W Ould it be a good idea to describe how the Sun Beam spell differs from the stream version? since it feel less like the show made it more powerful, and more like it changed the elements surrounding it.

In the show, it is a difficult spell for Keyleth to call upon, with the conflict being wether she will be able to use it when it is needed.

Meanwhile, while in the stream Marisha was able to use the Sunbeam spell whenever she wanted, she also could only use it when it was absolutely necessary since it was a spell she could only use once per day. Likewise, due to the Sunbeam spell being Marisha's triumph card against Sylas, it also meant that Keyleth basically had the rest of her 6th level spells locked due to her only having one 6th level spell slot to use.

I dont think it's worth getting that into, unless we really want to open the door to just starting to list all the ways the show doesn't fit D&D mechanics. Like, it's an adaptation to a different medium (RPG to Cartoon), it's part of the "The mechanics of things are different"

Why on earth are we slotting all the character tropes into the Critical Role character pages? Not only are they two completely different shows in different media, but the CR characters page is horrifically overstuffed as it is. Is there any reason we can't just have a character page for this show?

Given the significant story differences in the adaptation resulting in character relationship overhauls, I agree that there should be a separate page for the show.

Agreed The animation page might link to the stream page, but the differences are significant enough to warrant separate pages.

Yeah I agree this show should have its own separate character page, though right now it redirects to the Critical Role character page. How do we make it so it doesn't?

Took a bit of fiddling but I managed to undo the redirect, currently has holding text though here.

They're the same characters, but some differences are to be expected and possibly more. It is not technically wrong to link to the Critical Role characters' page, and making another one just for the show would kinda be doing rewritting the same things. I'm a bit torn on the subject honestly. Granted, as the show goes on, differences may become significant enough to warrant a separate page.

Once the show reaches its own separate arcs from the established canon (which I think they mentioned they wanted to do), however... Oh well, wait and see. I'm curious about what everyone is thinking.

I say just go ahead make a separate character page. I think there's enough to distinguish the two continuities to justify it. If Invincible can have two separate character pages, so can The Legend of Vox Machina.

I mean, A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of Thrones have a separate character page, so I'd go for it!

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.

I agree, that Legend of Vox Machina and Critical Role while are adaptations and variations of each other, they are different enough to warrant a new character page.

The redirect was initially my doing. I made the redirect to Critical Role, figuring that they were the same characters and already had pages for them. But after seeing everyone else's arguments (especially ForgottedJedi and JustaUsername), I think the two shows should have separate pages.

That being said, it's going to take some work to clean up the pages for both this show and Critical Role, since the latter already has voice credits and tropes in character pages for Legend.

The fantasy RPG videos that play in my head are amazing.

I've started the process of adding folders and I've indexed it but I haven't put any tropes in yet. I was waiting for someone at bit more in the CR fandom to differentiate (I've only ever watched fan animatics and clips before the Amazon show, as I struggle with watching TTRPG actual plays so I know general tropes about characters but not the little finesses)

If it’s ok I can also start the process of cleaning up this page so it resembles others like it. I don’t know how to format images though but I can give it a good start.

Since I noticed a Youtube clip for the Japanese dub] for "Legend of Vox Machina," do we want to add the Japanese Dub voice actors as well? The US actors were impressed by how well they got the characters. Here's a list of the Japanese voice actor names per reddit: Vex: Ōhira Ahiru (大平あひる) Percy: Shimizu Masanori (清水優譲) Pike: Yabuuchi Yūmi (藪内裕友実) Vax: Ishiguro Fumitake (石黒史剛) Keyleth: Ikeda Misaki (池田海咲) Scanlan: Sawashiro Chiharu (沢城千春) Grog: Kaneko Hayato (金子隼人)
