I strongly disagree with the plot recap and the addition of "Spotlight-Stealing Squad". In fact Enzu gets the most screen time in the beginning. Chapter 1-5 has Enzu in >100 panels, Iremi and Edermask in ~60. I stopped counting there, but Enzu's lead grows by roughly a dozen until chapter 13.
From Episode 3 the plot revolves around Edermask and his persuers. From Episode 16 there is a strong focus on Enzu's growth as swordsman, you learn about his past and he overcomes a childhood trauma.
Besides doubting Edermask and deciding to change his ways in Episode 4, there isn't much developement for Iremi in Part 1.
IMO they are equal.
