My fault. When editing the page, I simply copypasted all the 2.0 characters in the folder, but I still haven't unlocked all the characters yet. The name is hidden now.
I am wondering if Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers would be more suitable for its own page since it's essentially an entire sequel.
Hide / Show RepliesWe possibly should wait until Ring Racers has its first public release, or once some major footage of it is revealed.
Now that the game has finally been released, I come two years later to embed myself in this discussion.
I don't think we should separate the two games, but instead decide between:
- including tropes about this new version in the existant page like some tropers already did and rename the page;
- or replacing it by a whole new page where both games would be brought up into separate folders for more clarity.
Hmmm, I suppose the former would work the best for a title like this, but the latter would also be viable.
Edited by SuperjustinbrosI'm going to raise an objection to that, as Ring Racers is vastly different to the original - given that it has a lot more separating it from SRB2, along with the fact that the unlock system is much different. This puts me in the camp that Ring Racers should be its own page.
And besides, what would we rename this page to if we do either of those options? Apart from maybe having a page for Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart (that being a Franchise page for it) perhaps for tropes that apply to both games.
Edited by auroVeeI don't think TV Tropes allows Franchise pages for fangames. Also, after some reflexion, I came to the conclusion that deleting the original page would make unnecessary confusion among readers. Maybe we should create a different page and indent Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers as a sub list item under Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart everywhere this latter game is mentioned.
Edited by GhajurI gotta concur that Ring Racers deserves its own page at this point, considering it's very much a sequel far more removed from its SRB 2 roots, is rather distinct mechanically, and actually has something of a narrative behind it.
I saw Tangle's stated to be amongst those representing Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW) in Ring Racers, but I don't see her amongst the full character list; only Whisper and Surge. Anyone got any ideas where she might be, if she is in the game?
