Okay, just from the demo alone, it seems like Stories 2 is going to be a bit beefier with its tropes and narrative than MHS1 was. Would there be support for breaking from longtime MH tradition and setting up a dedicated character page for Stories 2?

Go ahead. I'm pretty sure we could spare some weight off from the current character pages that way (5th Gen World is still a very packed page despite the recent split into World and Rise).

What sort of trope may exist that can cover the whole plot element of the original Razewing Ratha legend being only partially remembered in much of the world, and even the full version being open to interpretation? The first one that came to mind is Legend Fades to Myth, but that is strictly for when the audience already knows what really happened and that's not the case here. It seems like there should be some tropes out there strictly about how a legend could lose bits of info over time, become about something more familiar to the people, etc.
