Does Zurbaran count as "Faux Affably Evil"? My understanding of the trope is that it primarily applies to antagonists ("evil" referring to the role they fill in the story).

Anyway, I suspect there might be a trope that fits better. I'd say "Nominal Hero", but that fits most of the characters.

Unlike Naurim and Takate, who are not suited for society because they have a brutal psychology, Zurbaran is a true bastard and bad guy. Murder, impersonation, poison, and maybe rape. Along all the character, he is by far the most evil. He try to sell Takate, and in the second opus, we learn he betrayed Naurim and ruined him. Neutral Evil is a good trope for him i think, he care only about his comfort and money, and don't care about the bad things that could happen to other because of him.

Sorry, i'm not english, i speak bad :(
