Kari managed to control some of Tory's muscles through the electrodes, but I think that fits the People Puppets trope better, as she did not have access to Tory's brain. Additionally, as Tory points out, there would be no way that your opponent would let you wire him/her up in a classic "Superhero vs Supervillain" fight.
