It was in the Cho Den-O Blue movie; though it didn't happen to the contracted human, we did see an example of what happened, and Hana explained what would happen. Given that Imagin travelling back in time happened in practically every episode of Den-O though, it doesn't really match with the series (not to mention Kintaros himself was one of those successful Imagin). I'm theorizing that it was just a change made by the timeline shifting, and Kai no longer being alive.
Maybe I'm missing something but, how is Kintaros a bear? I've looked all over him and yet I don't see it.
Hide / Show RepliesVarious subtle ways: He's big, heavy, and bear-shaped; narcoleptic (alluding to hibernation); and serves as your tank / heavy-hitter. His name is a reference to the Japanese story of Kintaro, a child hero who was known for practicing sumo in the mountains with his bear companion.
Retcon: The Chō Den-O Trilogy changes the rules on Imagin time travel from the show, now saying that if an Imagin successfully travels to the past, the act will destroy the contractor's past self (via dissolution into sand).
Wait, where? From what we saw it was the same as the show. Sand comes from their body and they appear. No one dissolves into sand except for Imagin and Orphenochs.
