I was watching the episode of "Are You Being Served Down Under", the Undesirable Alien, and it occurs to me that Mr. Humphries is never given an explainable motivation for wanting to remain in Australia. He's there temporarily anyway, his mother and all his friends, and his regular job are there, and yet he is seen going to such lengths as dressing up as a maintenance man and a nun, jumping out of windows, and marrying Mrs. Crawford, all to stay in a country he's going to have to leave eventually anyway. When the customs officials come why doesn't he just go home to England?
