Okay... I've never seen this series and know very little about it, but I have stumbled across the names of some of the characters here and there. Is there any chance that "Nakiri" is a Meaningful Name, being a homophone or near-homophone for "vegetable-chopping" (as in short for nakiri bōchō)?
