Should this be marked "unmarked spoilers" since it deals with the defeat of a villain?

This seems to be two different tropes in one IMO.
1. The "villain begs/grovels for mercy in combat, hoping to be spared by the hero" trope.
2. The "villain in a perilous situation pleads to be saved"
I wonder if this should be split into two tropes since they seem entirely different. A villain who begs to be saved in a perilous situation for example may not beg for mercy when defeated in combat.
