I'd like to change the page quote to Doctor Strange's line from Avengers: Endgame:
- If I tell you what will happen, it won't happen.
Any objections?

In the Castle example, wasn't the bomb in the radio Castle was carrying and, therefore, right next to the villains head when it went off?

Hey, is Beelzeboss from Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny a good example of this trope? Based on that one scene, it appears that Jack knew that he and Kage didn't stand a chance against Satan in a fair rock-off (and that the contest would be biased against Tenacious D to begin with due to the complete lack of an impartial judge), so he specifically wagered only Kage’s soul so that when Satan declared victory and tried to collect, Jack would be able to interfere and figure out what to do next from there (it just so happened that a Diving Save with his guitar ended up sending Satan's lightning bolt back at his face and blowing his horn, giving Jack a chance to use the horn for some Ritual Magic to banish Satan back to Hell). Of course, Jack couldn't explain any of this to Kage, as he came up with the plan on the spot and Satan was standing right there, so he had to just say "Trust me, it's the only way" when Kage responded with understandable incredulity at Jack apparently selling him out.
