David Brin doesn't hate Star Wars. In fact, he said he likes it, and that he loved the Empire Strikes Back. He's simply criticizing elements of the franchise that he sees as harmful or wrongheaded. Granted, he does tend to see ulterior motives where none probably exist. However, it's inaccurate to say that he hates Star Wars.
This and some other True Art... article were cut because they were just complaints about certain art styles. We are collecting tropes used in stories, not bitch lists.
