The part about Miriam Mendelsohn being seen as transgender solely because she is more butch. Never in my life have I seen people saying this before. Yes transgender tomboys exist, and transgender people aren't required to fit rigid gender stereotypes to be valid. BUT specifically choosing the least stereotypically feminine member of a group of female characters and deciding she is transgender solely for this reason is bordering on transphobic stereotypes because it's like saying that trans women are basically men. It's like people saying Luisa Madrigal is transgender because she is a tall muscular woman with a deeper voice.

Moving this to the discussion page as multiple people have deleted and re-added and deleted it. It seems this character's canon trans (or trans-coded) and thus doesn't count.

  • Heaven's Design Team: It's heavily implied that Venus is a non-operative trans woman, with her design having a flat, muscular chest, lack of curvature, and overall masculine body structure. The choice of her VA also leads to this interpretation, as she's voiced by the obviously male Daisuke Kishio, though he goes the extra mile to give her a feminine tone and speech patterns. Despite her masculine build, she's still very feminine in her mannerisms and fashion sense, none of the other characters make so much as an implication about her being assigned male at birth, and the narrative fully embraces her being a woman (notably, the Hot Springs Episode shows her bathing with the other female team members and nobody comments on it).

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
