It needed something, for sure. I edited it to make the plot-template example more fun to read.
When coming across a description that has gone so far into equivocation and digression you feel it would be easier to just cut it down to an unadorned thesis statement, try to think of a way to add humor to clarify it. Of course, clearing out the equivocation and digression is a good start.
Goal: Clear, Concise and Witty
Took a shot at de-waffling the trope description. Feel free to readd anything that felt like a cut too far.
