Question, the description says "The plagiarized work makes the plagiarizer look like an expert in a certain field that makes them seem valuable to some pretty shady people."
Do the people have to be shady? Why can't they just be seen as valuable? As in, a person plagiarizes something that is considered brilliant or innovative and they are now looked at as the authority on the topic. Problem is they are way out of their depth so all of the expectations and status they just received causes them more anxiety at having to continue to prove their competence.
