Then the standard way is utterly and completely stupid. Why use six perfectly good categories when you can have a dozen useless, hairsplitter categories.
People are aware that the Japanese classify both Bugs Bunny and Robotech as anime, right? And that the distinction is useless and artificial?
Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.

not commenting on the rights and wrongs, that would be for the forums (Trope Repair Shop, I think, ICBW) for suggesting changes to the classifications and categories. Just this is the format the site uses, it's the one everyone knows and is used to.
Worldmaker this is the standard way categories are split across the wiki.
