So, how is this different from Intercourse with You? That trope isn't about intercourse itself (that would be Coitus Ensues), it's about sexual themes in music and song lyrics. This trope seems kind of redundant.

In that case, any trope with a sexual theme should be blatted as redundant, because Intercourse with You covers it. I’d say that there was a better case for getting rid of Intercourse with You as being too vaguely and broadly defined.

Except that actually, the description of Intercourse with You says pretty clearly that it covers songs which describe the act of sex, explicitly or a bit metaphorically. This trope is about the (smaller but real and distinct) category of songs and poems which depict or represent an act of seduction — the attempted lead-in to sex (and the attempt doesn’t have to be successful).

Equally, if you read the description of Coitus Ensues, it’s nothing to do with music or songs (there are no songs on the examples list), it’s about, quote, “ A gratuitous sex scene that is sudden and sends the narrative into a screeching halt to accommodate the ensuing coitus.” Unquote. Redefining Coitus Ensues to cover any act of sex in any art form makes that uselessly broad.
