Removed the 'Bleach' references as they're only discussing fandom shipping preferences and do not reflect what's actually happening in the story. There are only a very few confirmed romances in this manga and none of them are known examples of this trope. The rest lies in the realm of fandom speculation. Other tropes are more suited to that than this one.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.

Only if you are male? I just thought there was no reason for him to mention his relationship with Karl if you played as a female Hawke? Or does this trope only count if it's something that's important to the second love?
Does the likes of Atoli from the dot.hack(.hack) universe potentially qualify on the list?(at least in .hack//G.U TRILOGY, if its not outright in the games or the G.U+ Manga?) I just felt it needed to be asked, since I would like to know the why, myself.
