Some Acronyms listed here are not really recursive.
Its only recursive if the acronym itself is part of itself, not if it contains a word or name that is exactly spelled like the acronym.
Like the K.O.T.H. from Mt G. His name just happens to be Koth, but that name is not the acronym for Koth of the hammer. No recursion. I'm unsure, but Saab and Visa, seem to be the same.
If it is a real recursion, the recursive letter can be substituted by any other letter.
In GNU the letter G stands for nothing but the acronym itself, it could be KNU, TNU or whatever and would still work.
In KOTH the K stands for the name Koth. If you changed it to say MOTH it wouldn't work, as M doesn't stand for Koth.
Sure in this case the name Koth was chosen that it resembles the acronym and some acronyms are chosen to spell out the main name (I bet that happend for SAAB and VISA), but they are not truely recursive (like GNU).

Or I am wrong. :)
