Hi. When I started the TLP draft for this, it was originally titled "Screentime-Ending Arrest." I originally intended it to be about villains getting arrested at the end of a work, but I decided to broaden it to anyone being arrested and not being seen again for the work, or at least one entry of a series. We also had a poll for the name, and this name won, so even though I didn't originally think of it as a "Put on a Bus" trope, it kinda became one. I do think there are enough examples of characters being removed from the story by being arrested for this trope to stand on its own, though. And 22 other people would agree

OP, please read the description of this trope. They're not even remotely the same thing.

Put on a Bus to Hell already exists so this trope is redundant.
