I am firmly convinced that this is the number one trope needing a rename, and the reason that the crowner doesn't have a lot of votes is because the name itself is so obscure that too few people know about it despite the trope's omnipresence.

Any agreement?

On reading the description and discovering that it's only supposed to have nonmagical examples — yeah, it could use a rename. Pity I missed the crowner...

If that idea gets off the ground again, I recommend the name Magical Security Network (in analogy to the Magical Security Cam).
