Any thoughts on what to do with channels that change from one category to another or overlap one another?

For example, changing categories: "Channel A began as a mainstream cable news network and gradually slid into a niche entertainment-news network focused entirely on yoga instructors. It eventually changed its name to Channel B before shutting down entirely two years later." Would this one belong under the mainstream cable/sat networks, the niche networks, or get an entry on both? What about rebranded vs. dead vs both? I've generally been going with both. You could also write half a channel's history in one category and half in another, but that's kind of incomplete to anyone who doesn't read the whole page at once, unless you end the incomplete ones with a note or something.

It might also make sense for a special category for channels that switched categories throughout their existence.

Another weird thing is when the channels' history overlap one another. Noggin was essentially two channels in one, then half of it replaced Nick Gas and the other half eventually became Nick Jr. Does Nick Gas get its own entry, or is it okay to only include it as part of Noggin's history?

I'm trying to add a Philippine channel named "Hero TV", which was a Filipino-dubbed anime channel that shut down in February 2018 due to lack of advertising support and "a change in business direction", but I'm not sure if it would fit as a short-lived niche channel, as it ran from 2006 to 2018, or if it's on rebranded as it is now an web-based channel, or unsorted, as it was revived as a two-hour program block on another channel.

Also I'm sure about adding the ABS-CBN Regional Channel on the short-lived mainstream cable category, as it ran from August 2016 to January 2018.

I went ahead and changed "Short-Lived" to "Totally Dead," since we were starting to see networks that lasted a while and still died off instead of being rebranded.

I'm starting to see entries for networks that lasted for more than a few years before totally going off the air, so I'm tempted to change "Short-lived" to something like "Totally discontinued" or "Shut down."

I can see this entry eventually getting totally split into one entry for the rebrandings and another for the networks that have totally been shut down. Or doing a top-level "hard split" between the two and doing all other organization below that.

Also a bit bugged by how 99% of cable networks are a Niche Network, which kind of messes things up a bit. Only mainstream ones seem to be news, mainstream general sports (as opposed to one focused on nothing but soccer), and the occasional general-interest ones like "The New TNN."

Changed "Short-lived" to "Totally Dead," thanks partly to realizing other people were running into the same problem when I saw alnair20aug93's post.

May one day re-separate the short-lived entries if there are enough that lasted and went straight to being shut down to make having its own category worthwhile. But for now it's nice to not have to worry about where the line on how long a "short-lived" network can have lasted.
